Dels. Bob Brink (D-48th) and Patrick Hope (D-47th) have endorsed their colleague Adam Ebbin in his bid for the 30th state Senate seat being vacated by Patsy Ticer.

Brink and Hope were among 10 Democratic members of the House of Delegates from Northern Virginia to endorse Ebbin (D-49th) on March 23.

“To have the support of colleagues whom I have worked with in the House of Delegates is extremely gratifying,” Ebbin said in a statement. “It has been an honor to represent Northern Virginia with these fine public officials, and I look forward to continuing to work with them when I am in the Virginia Senate.”

Ebbin is in a three-way race for the Democratic nomination for the 30th District, which currently includes much of Arlington south of Columbia Pike as well as parts of Alexandria and Fairfax County. Arlington School Board Chairman Libby Garvey and Alexandria City Council member Rob Krupicka also are seeking the nomination.

“Adam Ebbin is ready to be the next senator from District 30,” said Brink, the senior member of the Arlington House of Delegates delegation. “With his experience in the House, he will be prepared to hit the ground running on day one.”

Hope said Ebbin, who has served in the legislature for eight years, “has a record that speaks for itself.”

“He’s a leader Northern Virginians will be able to count on in the Senate,” Hope said.

The fourth member of the House delegation representing parts of Arlington, Del. David Englin (D-45th), has not made an endorsement in the race.
