Hope Receives Top Honors From VEA

Arlington, VA - The Virginia Education Association recognized Delegate Patrick A. Hope (D-Arlington) and 21 other members of the Virginia General Assembly who earned 100 percent VEA voting record in the 2012 session.

Delegate Hope said, "Nothing is more important than adequately funding Virginia's public schools. It's an honor to be recognized and I remain 100 percent committed to strengthening our public schools and recognizing educators for their tremendous contributions."

In recognizing Delegate Hope, Dr. Kitty Boitnott, VEA President said, "The 2012 legislative session was very challenging for advocates of quality public education. Delegate Patrick Hope was with us 100% of the time as we fought for adequate funding for our public schools and opposed legislation that would have made it harder to recruit and retain quality teachers. It is my great pleasure to acknowledge Delegate Hope's support for public education."

VEA's Legislative Report Card will be posted on their website at www.veanea.org.

Patrick A. Hope is a Member of the Virginia General Assembly as the Delegate from the 47th District representing part of Arlington County. He serves on the Militia, Police and Public Safety Committee and House Health, Welfare, and Institutions Committee.
