Sun Gazette: Death-Penalty Opponents to Gather at Church Forum Print

The Journey of Hope, a group started by family members of murder victims who are opposed to capital punishment, will hold a forum on Friday, June 29 at 7:30 p.m. at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church.

The event will feature a panel discussion and question-and-answer period.

Participants will include Shujaa Graham, who spent three years on California's death row before being exonerated.

Also participating will be attorney Jonathan Sheldon, who defended Washington sniper John Allen Muhammad and other capital clients.

Del. Patrick Hope (D-47th) and state Sen. Janet Howell (D-32nd) also are expected to attend.
